Eye Movement Integration – Something New To Smooth

In the world of Eye Movement therapies there is one distinct aspect all recognise. When a clients eye doesn’t follow the fingers the protocol is to ‘smooth’.

I want to offer two new protocols in addition to the ‘smooth’ that I have presented during the EMI+ training in Edinburgh this last weekend. I have been exploring and utilising this for a long time and have found this can make a difference.

  • When there is a facial muscle asymmetry that is ‘regular’ during any linkage pattern ( lines, curves and circles … whatever ) smooth it as you would an eye deviation.
  • When there is a facial muscle symmetry ( like eyes popping open, smile etc ) that is ‘regular’ during any linkage pattern ( lines, curves and circles … whatever ) smooth it as you would an eye deviation.
